buttercup meadow

It's buttercup season.

What can be prettier than green and yellow in a field?

Well, a mama cow and her calf maybe?

How now brown cow?  What's new with you?

More green and yellow in the old John Deere tractor.

Just call it "green acres" out here in the countryside.

Did I tell you that summer is my favorite season?

It is!

And

It's going to be stinking hot this afternoon with thunder showers this evening.

Then it's going to cool down and rain tomorrow.

A Maritime summer ~ if you don't like the weather, wait for 20 minutes.

Here's a sneak peek at the new kitchen cabinets.

I hope you have a super weekend!  I'll be busy trying to find a place
for everything that came out of the old cabinets.  I have more cabinets
but not the same space so it's challenging.  (I'll explain this when
I do a post about the reno)

Blessings and hugs,

Pamela

  4. Hi Pamela
I would love to meander through that field of buttercups; not to meet up with the cow though. She wasn't camera shy at least.
When we get a tractor holding up traffic on one of our roads, so many people are impatient but I know Farmer Brown (I call them all by this name) has a job to do and often the farms share machinery.
Have a great weekend, in the kitchen if you must. :-)

  5. That photo of that amazing field makes me want to go for a walk right through the middle of it. Instead, I think at this hour that I'll march up the stairs.

  7. I had a shiver when I saw all those buttercups because I've spent many hours this spring trying to dig buttercups out of flower beds!....but they are so pretty in the field.

  14. The buttercups and gentle cows remind me of my childhood in the country - I loved to wander in the fields. Guess that's how I learned the names of so many plants, birds etc.

Of course here they are different so I've enjoyed learning them too - with my granddaughter alongside of me. She told me just last week that her friends are amazed that she can name so many wild birds - her answer, "My grandma taught me when I was little and we spent so much time together". It does pay off after all.

    Lovely photos Pamela.

  19. The fields are so beautiful! You take great photos, my friend, so nice to see an area of this country that I have never been to.
I was talking to a lady in GW today and I thought, I would guess that Pamela is like her. I was looking for stuff for her and her for me, she was picking up and straightening clothes on the rack, she didn't work there. Just a really sweet lady and she made me think of you.
    Big hugs, Cindy
