a big ol' barn

Drive by shot  ~  March 7, 2012

A big ol' barn outside of Fredericton, NB.

I've always wanted to shoot this barn but, either I'm
driving or don't have my camera.

It's still used for beef cattle.

Here is the huge old house that goes with the barn.

She was beautiful in her day but, needs a lot of paint now.
It's still occupied.
Our kids always thought it was haunted.

This is a beautiful farm land with maple trees on a hill.

You should see the view from the back of the farm
up the hill!

You can see the silver barn roof mid-photo.  Oct. 2011

What did I tell you?  Isn't that a gorgeous view?
Lucky cows!

I am joining Trisha for Barn Charm.

I had a great time there last week so come on over
and see some beautiful barns.

Today was another taste of spring but Tuesday
and Wednesday are reverting back to typical March/
late winter weather.

Have a great day!

Blessings,

Pamela

  1. That is an amazing set of buildings. Have you ever been inside? I'd love to have a tour of the house and the barn. It would be quite something to keep them up these days that is for certain.

  10. Wonderful photographs, in the snow or in the sun!! I can see why the children thought it might be haunted, does look a bit spooky, but obviously the barn is a great winter home for the cows.Jackie in Surrey, UK.

  16. I have always wanted property with a barn. It brings back so many great memories for me. Perhaps I will have to settle on a great photograph that I can frame and hang around here somewhere. That house does look kind of "haunted". Imagine what it would be like all fixed up, wow, must be some interesting old wood doors and the like in that place. Would not want their heating bill though!
