train up a child

Our daughter, Jennifer, posted on facebook today that
while she was preparing Ewan's supper yesterday he bowed
his head, said some baby talk, then said "poppa, nana,
cookoo (grampie), gaga (grammie), Amen".

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when
he is old he will not turn from it."
Proverbs 22:6  NIV

  1. PERFECT . . . children can be taught many things but living by example has the strongest message. Precisely why it is important mom and dad and "the grands" lead their best . . .

  2. That's lovely!
Our little fellows ask their parents to hold hands and say 'Thank you. Amen. Like at Nana's house' - and I'm glad to say that the parents cooperate!

  3. Oh how sweet... May he be a pray-er all his life through.

  4. Oh, Pamela, that is so precious! Out of the mouths of little children. Even when we can't understand all of the words, that message came out clear! :)
    He is adorable.
    Be a sweetie,
    shelia ;)

  5. Your grandbaby is adorable! My oldest boy did something similar - his very first sentence was "Thank You God for this food" - he was about a year and a half. So sweet from the mouths of babes.

  6. Oh, that is so..sweet.
Blessings to Jennifer for taking the time to 'train' Ewan.
Can't you just imagine the joy our Lord gets from hearing
this wee ones prayers? I know I'm thrilled just hearing about it!

  7. That is so beautiful from Proverbs...........hopefully those words are true, eventually! I've found them rather difficult to hang on to in the past where certain people were concerned. Just how old do they have to be?????

Ewan is such a sweet boy...............know he loved having you there and that you are both missing each other.

    Hugs - Mary

  8. That is soo sweet. I can just hear him.

  9. Pamela TRULY precious blessings to have grandchildren to adore!Sweet baby sweet post.
    hugs Anna

  10. What a little darling! And a precious moment for you. I see green here! Hooray! I just don't know what I would do with such a long cold season. You all must have VERY warm hearts!
