Hydranges blooms in 3 aqua bottles on top of the tall china cabinet.
It's that time of year again.
Time to get out a few fall decorations and add
some orange, rust and turquoise to my home
I cut some hydrangea blossoms today and
made a couple of bouquets. This one sits on
the kitchen windowsill. Don't you love
the soft green, pink and cream of these blooms?
I also like to add some traditional fall colours to the decor.
This chair is at the top of the stairs.
These gourds were at Superstore the other day.
The long necked one looks like a bird's head. :)
Can you see it?
In the living room ~
another bouquet of hydrangea is in an aqua
mason jar on the coffee table.
My friend gave me the copper lustre candle
holders. I can't wait to light them to see how
In the dining room ~
a favorite fall quilted table runner centers the antique platter, pitcher and brass candlesticks.
The colourful painting on the wall is the only oil painting we have. It was painted by a family
friend and she called it "Autumn Leaves".
I love the colours in it.
There are a few changes on the china hutch.
I added a fall vine, berries and the vintage turkey
plate by Johnson Bros. that I found in a thrift
store last summer. I've added touches of turquoise
here and there too. I think I'd like to find some
more things in turquoise or teal. It goes so
well with orange and rust.
There you have it. Just a few simple touches
to add a seasonal flair.
