bird bath weather

Water ~ November 5

Snow ~ November 8

Ice ~ November 14

How the weather changes here in November!

You just never know what it will be.

I can't believe November is almost gone can you?

I was going to post about Christmas decorating but forgot
I had this post ready so thought I'd share it as the month closes.

We haven't had snow since November 8.  The weather has been fairly nice but this past week it's been very cold - below freezing.

I hope we get some snow in December especially for Christmas, but you just never know here in the Maritimes.

I'm going to my neighbour's house tonight to watch the Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center.  Since I saw the tree hidden by all the scaffolding it would be great to see it all lit up and catch the excitement of that beautiful place.  Why am I going to my neighbours to watch it?  We don't have cable or a satellite dish!!

Enjoy the evening and stay cozy.
{I'll be running across the yard in the cold and dark!}

Blessings,

Pamela

  1. Have fun over there! I don't usually bother with the Christmas tree lighting, but I may have to peek in knowing that you'll be watching.

  2. That's a good idea, looking at the bird bath in different weather conditions. The top of mine tipped off when we had the high winds a few weeks back. I'm waiting for Paul Bunyan to drop by and lift it for me!

    Enjoy the program tonight, Pamela.

  5. That "sneak peek" is very pretty! Can not wait to see the rest.

Really like the photos of the bird bath. It is like that here in western NY state, too. It has been very cold here lately. I don't like it at all!

  10. It's interesting to photograph the same spot over a period of time so that the changes are all documented.

  11. Hi Pamela,
It was fun to see the changes in your birdbath. We went from a wonderful snow to almost 60 degrees. Weather here in UT is the same way. One thing that is nice, is that the sun shines most of the time. Loved your little sneak peek!
    Hugs,
    Jann

  12. Great photos of the bird bath. Our weather sounds about like yours.
I watched part of the show from Rockefeller Center. I love all the Christmas shows and musicals this time of year.

  13. Things change quickly in November, even here. We haven't had ice yet, but I've had to scrape the frost of the car two mornings this week. We're still hitting at least +10 every day, though, so we have a way to go.

  14. You do get lots of different weather there. We are having much colder temps than usual this early. I really enjoyed your New York photos!

  15. It's more fun to watch something on TV with a friend anyway and it will be nice that you get to see the final unveiling. We had to plug in the decider on our birdbath but on the weekend we're going back up to double digits.

  18. Our weather has been wacky, too. Just before Thanksgiving it was in the 60s. On Black Friday it was cold and ridiculously windy. It stayed cold for a few days and now tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 50s. So I can relate to your bird bath pictures! I used to have a bird bath and it broke. Seeing yours makes me want to get another one for our little feathered friends.

  19. Since I have been blogging I find I notice the little things changing, like the conditions in the bird bath. I am more aware of the seasons. It must be a good thing!

  21. I love this post. Back when I was scrapbooking I took pictures of the view from out back deck in all four seasons. It was great to assemble them together and see the seasons change. Great pictures!
