an new look for my tray

Since Easter is this weekend and I had some daffodils I decided to change up my tray on the dining room table.
I used the above photo as the background for my collage on Monday.

The yellow and blue plates are new as is the white bunny.
I got them both at Winners last week.
The napkin underneath the plates was a thrift store find a while ago and are from April Cornell.  A perfect match don't you think?
The blue and white creamer is really old and was my great-aunt's.
It's a favourite of mine.

The daffodils are all opened up now so I don't know if they'll last until Easter.  I guess I'll have to buy something different for the weekend now.

Do you have a favourite flower or bouquet for Easter?

I hope you are having a great week.

Blessings,

Pamela

  2. What a pretty vignette. I love the different elements you used and the blue/yellow combination is my very favorite. Our daffodils here are nearly done now. Boo Hoo. It doesn't seem like Easter to me without an Easter Lily. I love the smell.

  6. Oh I love blue and yellow combinations...pretty new plates and wonderful thrifted napkins. I am having such trouble finding napkins for the Easter table and I will not resort to paper ones as pretty as they can be. I purchased flowers today. Two pots of tulips for church...it's a thing that is done "in memory of" and one pot of tulips for home. Then I went with a colorful bunch of good old carnations. Can't beat them for being long-lasting, though I still have the Alstroemeria bought two weeks ago...very pleased with their longevity. I know that it's all about tulips and daffies at Easter, but I'm willing to just go for fresh and color. =D

  8. Blue and yellow make a perfect pair in your vignette. Love those plates. I like daffodils, but I think I'm going to look for some pink tulips tomorrow when I do my final shopping before Easter. However, I'll keep my mind open and see what's there.

  11. I'm a lover of blue and yellow, and you've made such pretty use of the colours. I haven't yet bought Easter flowers, but when I do, there will be daffodils and blue hyacinths.

  12. That looks great...the blue and yellow combo! Our duffs haven't opened yet because of all our snow and chilly weather...they love the cold. But they are popping up everywhere and will be here for Easter...:)JP

  15. Lovely, Pam...those plate are really pretty...
Perhaps if you put the daffodils in a cool place, out of direct sunlight, they will make it 'til Sunday...
I always buy the cell packs of Pansies, and put individual ones into votive holders, and they look great scattered down the table...when I went to get them on Tuesday, they were sold out!!! SO...I purchased 2 potted Muscari spring plants, and I have put one is a small basket, and filled with "phony" glittery eggs...looks pretty good!! I also put all the chocolate "eggs" on the table...
I also bought a small white/pinkish Hydrangea for my hall table...cute!!
    Have a great Easter..

    Cheers!
