brilliant green moss

Brilliant Green Moss...

on cedar fence rails with the sun shining.

On a maple tree.

Isn't it pretty?  Such a bright green and lovely soft texture.

Brilliant. Green. Moss.

It's about the only natural green showing around here these days
and I shot these pics last fall.

I am linking with Fiona's blog Raindrops and Daisies for

Fiona has a beautiful blog and loves lots of colour.  You can link up too, with something with green in it.  See her blog for details.

Do you have plans for something exciting this first weekend of spring?  We may go look for some maple sugar trees that are producing maple syrup.  You know I'll have pictures.  :)
Enjoy the weekend!

Blessings,

Pamela

  1. i thought i had heard as a kid that moss grew on the north side of items (trees, or whatever it maybe) but i disagree with that - it grows where it wishes.

neat shots. so green. ( :

  5. I think moss is pretty growing on things. I've removed portions of it from the ground to grow in another place where I want it.

  8. It is so bright and beautiful! When I take my first walk in the woods this spring, I will be moving the snow aside to see the moss. It is truly the first sign on green here! :)
I hope you have a lovely day, Pamela!

  15. Good study in moss. We don't like it much around here but it is pretty and covers the ground well. I remember when I was a kid playing in the woods and making ornamental type gardens in pie pans and we used the moss for grass. We thought they were just beautiful when finished. Have a nice weekend!

  17. Is is Maple Syrup Sunday in Canada? It is in New England. I'd like to find a Sugar Shack selling the elusive Grade B.

That moss is beautiful. It really, really is. It looks like the green of Ireland.

  18. I love seeing moss, especially on a bright sunny day. My hubby hates finding it on the lawn, but I would prefer to have this instead of the grass! Lovely photos. Have a great weekend. Chel x
