pretty snow and Canada geese

Yes, snow can be pretty even in April!
We awoke to another snow fall this morning (yesterday too) and it was so pretty as the sun was trying to peek through the layers of fog hanging over the valley.  The sun never did appear as it clouded over but the snow melted by noon.

Hubby took this one for me this morning.  I love how the snow was laying on every branch then there were the layers of cloud and fog in the valley.

On the way to church we saw this beautiful view.

On the Flats there was a good sized flock of Canada Geese that really showed up well against the snow.

Usually there could be some flooding from the river this time of year but not yet.  Just a little pond from snow melt.

I must say even though we're very tired of snow here, the scenery on our drive to church this morning was very beautiful.  Everything is still brown so the white makes a pretty blanket.

Hopefully this is the last of the white stuff until December.

Have you seen the end of the white stuff yet?

Enjoy the day.

Blessings,

Pamela

  2. Beautiful, though I am more than ready to see a different color. I had hoped that yesterday was the end if it, but when I was trying to clean up a flower bed, it started sleeting on me! The nerve! ; D

  3. Your photographs are beautiful! In order to enjoy the snow, one must forget about the cold and drink in the scenery instead, even if it is April. Soon enough it will be gone. (Okay, maybe not soon enough, but soon.)

  4. I like snows this time of year as long as the power stays on. It lies so beautifully on the trees and bushes. Wonderful photos! I think we are done with the snow for now though.

  6. Very nice photos . . . snow here yesterday morning and today. More today. It brought the Redpoles back . . . I thought they had moved further North but guess they stopped for one more feed.

  9. Gorgeous shots of the snow and fog. There is snow in the forecast for later this week, but I am hoping it is wrong. Some green would be nice.

  10. The trees are especially pretty when they are frosted. We didn't get hardly any snow at all this winter. Not even an inch! And everything melted within 24 hours.

  18. Hey Pamela, you didn't tell us Murray was a photographer too!! Well done.
What can I say that hasn't been said about your snow fall this past winter, and now into Spring! All I know is you were able to bring beautiful snowy images to us who had no snow fall on our gardens, or around our neighborhoods, and I missed all that beauty close up. Good thing I went to Antarctica I guess!

Love the Canada geese shots - although we curse them down here where they have taken over every pond and hold up the traffic! Actually I don't mind stopping when mom brings her new babies across the road, they are so sweet when little - but so messy when huge flocks of them hang about the parks and gardens. The countryside you show looks the perfect home for them........................can I send them all back to Canada please?

    Happy week dear - Mary

  19. Me, I love the images of the white pristine snow...see, I do miss it when I see gorgeous photos of it; weather here is like a cold spring and a warm sprin..all year round!! Growing up in NY I always loved winter and fall..always, even when I was a kid and had fun at the beach, but as soon as fall came I was soo happy, as I am an Oct. girl, lol.. Thank you always for your sweet visits, my friend. Have a good week.
