Thursday's Inspiration ~ word prompt ~ blue

This is St. Andrews, NB {click to see more}, one of our favourite places to visit for a day trip.  It is right across the Passamaquoddy Bay from Maine and is a very beautiful and historic resort town.  I took these photos last May on the Victoria Day weekend.

You can see the beautiful and famous Algonquin Hotel with it's red roof in the upper left skyline.  The hotel has been closed for a year as it under goes a complete renovation.  It will reopen in June.

I am sharing the blue boats in the blue water under a blue sky for

I hope you will join us.

Blessings,

Pamela

I would love to tour that Algonquin Inn,
I bet it will be gorgeous.
Why do three of those boats look like they
have dirt in them? Just curious....

  8. I may have told you before, not sure, that we visited St. Andrews by the Sea on our way to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. It was fall and everything was closed down but I thought it was so beautiful. I did skip over to your other posts. I knew I remembered the red earth there plus other places farther up north. Thanks, Pamela, for bringing back some beautiful memories. I hope you spend your anniversary at the hotel this year....or maybe they won't open by then. I hope so.

  10. Gorgeous response to 'blue' Pamela.
Boats are a part of my life so I'm loving the blue dinghies!
What a pretty town and I love the name Passamaquoddy Bay, is it an American Indian word.
Wishing you a happy weekend - it's Friday here already!!

  11. I love the blue boats bobbing in the water...lovely shots Pamela. My hubbies family came from the United States as Loyalists to St. Andrews. We have never visited, but it is on our bucket list.

  12. Wonderfully blue! I really like how the blue is showing up on the boats, too. Wonder how pricey the Algonquin will be when it opens again. I've sat in the parking lot, but never made it inside. Perhaps I'll splurge some year.

(I was going to do this today and completely forgot. Obviously, cleaning out the fridge and the ongoing forsythia wars took priority.)

  18. Blue is my favorite color and you have captured it's beauty so well. How I'd love to be visiting here right about now :). The bay has a very interesting name. I'd be curious to hear how it is pronounced.
Do you think you'll visit the Algonquin Hotel when it re-opens?

  24. Lovely blue water, blue sky and touches of blue in the dinghies. Are those fishing nets in the boats? And of course I see a Zodiac there on the left - I love those crafts when on the expedition ships, they make visiting awesome places possible!!

The hotel will be a beauty I'm sure after a year of reno.

Happy weekend Pamela - hope the sun shines for you.
    Hugs - Mary
