spring skies

Pretty cloud formations in the western sky this week just before sunset.

A few minutes after the sun had set the clouds turned pink.

The best part is, I can take these photos from my back deck and don't have to go down and around behind the trees!  Because the trees are gone!  I am loving this view.

This afternoon big dark clouds rolled in.
Our sunny stretch is over and the rains have come for the weekend.

I love the sunlight playing on the new leaves of these trees against the dark clouds.

Another spring sky this past week.

We're going to a yard sale tomorrow morning and I hope to buy a copy of the new Mennonite Girls Can Cook Celebrations cookbook.
You can read all about it Here.

I wish you a blessed and happy Mother's Day.

Blessings to you!

Pamela

  1. Beautiful skies, beautiful view! I was in your area today, took my pots up to Grey's for refill.. Then went to Coburns for a few bags of their compost only to find out they are not selling it bagged anymore. :( If I hadn't been in a hurry with other things to get done, I would have popped by for a visit- to see that beautiful view!

  6. Beautiful skies . . . how fast the blue can change to grey.
We have been enjoying slow, soft rain showers since last evening. Perfect finish to make the earth pop with green, the trees leaf out in their spring magic . . . and bring an unbelievable freshness we needed . . . I wish you the same. The rain was exactly what we needed to create this final chapter of springtime!

  7. Sweet Pamela - may your Mother's Day be special, just like you!

We've had beautiful cloud formations the past couple of days too - we sat in the car in Costco's parking lot and just were in awe of the surrounding sky! Rain tomorrow but nice on Sunday I hope.

Enjoy each moment - I love the first shot with the tree!

    Love, Mary

  9. I love blue and green together ... no better illustration than sky and land. The clouds are beautiful. There are no two sky views alike, and you have captured some particularly beautiful ones!

  16. Love these photos! I've gotten more and more into cloud formations. My favorites are those first two of yours with the "wispy" swirls, dancing in the sky!

  18. Oh, what pretty photos of the sky. Lookikng up that hill is the most beautiful view. You certainly made the right decision to cut down a few trees. Next week we are having a huge tree cute down in our front yard. I hope we made the right decision.

  19. What a stunning view you have of the open sky. It's always fascinating to observe the changes through the day, or even the hour.

Enjoy your yard sale. I'm surprised that a MGCC book would already be in a yard sale - or perhaps you are going to get the book after the yard sale and the two aren't really connected?

    Happy Mother's Day.

  26. Beautiful spring skies - I especially like the look of the fresh new leaves against the dark sky. Our weather turned real cold over the weekend (as I write the thermometer shows 2C ! What a contrast to 28C less than a week ago). I trust you had a blessed Mother's Day; have a great week.
