the lighthouse at the point

Late afternoon sun on the water at St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, NB.
Taken August 31, 2013.
No editing.  The way the sun was shining through a thin layer of fog gave it a sepia tone.

I'm joining Mary at Little Red House for MOSAIC MONDAY.

Come over and visit too.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your kind comments.

I hope the week ahead is full of blessings.

Pamela

  1. I thought they were black and whites....how amazing! The fog shadowed all of the color. They would be beautiful printed and framed. They look very artsy! You've taken some amazing photos this summer in your travels!

  2. These do look like they are in sepia tone, and will be make nice note cards for later this month.

  5. That is a wonderful effect...the mists...the grays...I must try taking photos in fog someday. It shouldn't take long to wait, we're down here in the holler near the river and there's river fog many mornings. It won't be quite the same as the lighthouse on the sea at St. Andrews of course!

  14. That is just so beautiful Pamela. It is foggy here on the West Coast here. So far no sun is peeking through but your photos make me want to go out and take pictures.
Thanks for sharing that beautiful verse today on my blog. Blessings!

  17. I love the sepia tone, Pamela. I am slowly but surely reverting to my love of black and white. When the kids were here I had a photographer come for a sitting, and asked for black and white shots only.

  19. What beauty and softness fog adds to photos. In the Linky for Mosaic Monday, your photo and mine are directly above and below each other. The tones are very similar - both foggy days on either coast.
What a beautiful place to visit and photograph. Hope your week is starting well, Pamela.
