in the pink tea time

Would you join me for tea today?

I thought I'd get into a pink mood after all the red and green of Christmas.  The weather today is beautiful and sunny with temperatures a bit above freezing.  It feels like mid-March but we know winter is still with us for a while longer.

Cranberry shortbread cookies.

Three pretty pink teacups.
Left to right: Salisbury, Royal Albert's American Beauty and, Royal Vale.

A rosy coloured amaryllis.

I was playing with picMonkey last week and had a day of free apps so made these pretty paper edged photos for a change.

I am linking with Sandy at "Rose Chintz Cottage" for Tea Time Tuesday
and with Ruth at "Antiques and Teacups"

I hope you will join us at one of these parties.

Have a great week!

Blessings,

Pamela

  24. The amaryllis is gorgeous. Such a sweet, pretty color. You know, mine turned out to be terrible duds. Never grew or did a thing and we put them under the grow lights, too. I never did get back to see if I could exchange them. I think I was hoping, and I waited too long. My, your tea cups are so pretty. There is something about pink that I really like, too. Have a happy week, Pamela.

  28. Morning Pamela, just catching up on blogs as I have been busy with Harry the last couple of days!!

I love all your bone china cups and saucers. I love afternoon tea. Jill and Harry are taking us as a treat to afternoon tea at Marwell Hotel in a couple of weeks. When I lived in London and entertained a lot I had the Royal Albert teaset but gave it to a charity shop when I moved.
The amaryllis is gorgeous, a lovely colour. Love Jackie.
PS I often play with Pic Monkey, love it.

  31. Oh it would be so lovely to knock on your door and listen to you say "Come in." I am glad I stopped by for a virtual visit today because you have taken out your American Beauty teacups and I have several of my Mother's. I have the cream and sugar and a few plates to match. I like to use them when friends come for tea. Happy New Year Pamela!

  36. I'd love to join you for tea, Pamela. I love china tea cups and cranberry shortbread. The last few Christmases I've been making a cranberry shortbread with orange zest in it -- perhaps a similar recipe to yours.
