a bit of Easter decor and Royal Doulton Bunnykins

My spring/Easter tray on the dining room table

I thought I'd share some photos of my Easter/spring decor....just a few bunnies and eggs and artificial spring blooms to bring some spring cheer into our home.

The china cupboard is mostly in green and white.

Royal Doulton Bunnykins Casino teacup and saucer, Family with Pram designed by Barbara Vernon.
For more information on Barbara Vernon please click here.  The RD logo on the bottom of my cup is for the period between 1934 - 37.  The cup has a chip in the outside of the rim and some crazing.   I love these old Bunnykins dishes and had some pieces given to our children when they were born.  The artwork of the bunnies doing everyday human things is so adorable and of course so are the trademark bunnies running around the rims of the dishes.

This cute bunny dish came from Dollarama.  I love my eggies chocolate candies.  :-}

This cardboard egg held Easter treats many years ago.

This little vintage turquoise teacup is from the Medicine Hat Potteries in Alberta.  I've had the eggs for about 30 years.

Thanks for visiting today.  Tomorrow I hope to post again as it's time for Vee's "Notecard Wednesday" link party.  I have to get busy and find some photos for that!  Have a  great day.

Blessings,
Pamela

  1. Hi Pamela,
Your home is looking very springy and Easter ready. I love those little Cadbury chocolate Easter eggs. Those I decorated my cake with were just that, decorations. My hubby eats them but I find them way too sweet. I much more prefer chocolate, like you. The Bunnykins are darling! My parents gave my children Peter Rabbit sets when they were born but I have since pased them on to my grandchildren; all but one egg cup. Thank you for your visit and have a lovely week, my friend. Happy Easter!

    Blessings and hugs,
    Sandi

  3. Beautiful springy decorations! I love the Bunnykins things. I bought a couple for each of my kids when they were born but have since packed them away. I probably won't see them again until we move out of this house. Then I will give them to their rightful owners.

  7. Pamela, those little eggs, wrapped in white ribbon are as cute as the darling chicks that adorn them!! How awesome that you've had these tiny treasures for 30 years!! Love all the pastel-y colours of your Easter decor!

    Wishing you a Happy Easter!

PS: Have you heard? We're expecting 5 - 10 cm of snow tomorrow, along with freezing rain! So, you're not the last of the provinces to be holding on to this winter!

  10. Hi Pamela. LOVED seeing your wonderful Easter Decor. I really like the eggs with the chicks on them. I don't do much decorating for Easter anymore. No grandkids here makes a big difference. Could you please include my 9 month old Granddaughter (in Alaska) in your prayers? She is pretty sick right now with some kind of bacterial infection in her intestines...Everyone is mystified as to how she contracted it. They had to literally make an anti-biotic for it.

I have not much different in Easter decor from last year, so i'm doubtful I'll do a post!
