Good Fences #6

On a back road in rural Kings County is a beautiful oasis with a plant and tree nursery called Corn Hill Nursery.  They also have a cafe called The Cedar Cafe.  This is a corner of the outside patio with a fence as it's on the second floor.  My sister, cousin and I had lunch here one hot August day in 2012.   It was a lovely spot and the food is delicious!

This is one entrance to the Cedar Cafe with a bridge of sorts made from a huge slab of stone.  The railings are made of cedar.

This is a deck along a terrace at Corn Hill Nursery.  Tall cedars grow along it and the view is spectacular.  The fence is simple cedar poles attached to metal pipes.  Don't fall through!  :}

A peek through the cedars.

And here's looking up at the deck from below.

And this is the grape arbour with the stone table.

It's such a beautiful spot to visit, enjoy a lovely lunch inside or on the deck or under the grape arbour..... then tour around the gardens and pick out some beautiful plants, shrubs or trees.  It makes a great day trip for us and I hope to do that this summer.

I'm joining Good Fences at The Run*Around*Ranch Report.

Have a super day.

  23. Wow, nice views! I'm surprised that they don't 'upgrade' the deck fence, it looks a bit sparse.

  32. Oh, you found quite a great place for snapping photos and just relaxing! Love the morning glories in the first shot but they grow so fast here in New Zealand that they are considered a nuisance.

  34. The view at Corn Hill Nursery is spectacular Pam, and you found some interesting fences to share. I can't remember if I ordered something from the nursery or maybe they were a vendor at one of the Ontario Horticultural Assoc. conventions and I bought from them there.

  46. That's such a beautiful place to visit Pamela...sounds delightful. The thing I notice the most when I see your landscape photos is how far you can see. We can see far...but there are mountains ringing the valley here in the Okanagan. Lot's of them.
