apple blossom time

We have had the most beautiful weather here since last Thursday!
It's actually looking like the photos in my header now.

The trees and shrubs are in blossom so my friend, Kathy, and I went for a walk in the apple orchard down the road.    It was a gorgeous sunny and hot day again.  And I'm not going to complain one bit about the heat after the winter we had.

I took a lot of photos and will share some here.  Enjoy!

These are some of the old standard trees in the orchard.

These are all new raspberry plants on this hill.....along with the dandelions.

Surprise!  There was something else white in the orchard today...the family pets.

Thank you for visiting and leaving your kind comments.  And.  A big welcome to my new followers!   Thanks for coming along on my orchard walk.

Blessings,
Pam

  4. Oh, your apple blossoms are heavenly! So sweet and delicate. I barely got to see ours....A Huge wind came up and I think that most of the blossoms ended up out in the back field! I love those white ducks. When our daughter Kim was a little girl ...she just loved ducks! Especially their webbed feet!. I can not believe it is Wednesday again so soon. Time goes by so fast.

  16. We had a three-day reprieve in our forecast, which had been for a week of rain. Love it when they're wrong. Back in the soup now, but it does keep things beautifully green.

There is nothing so lovely as an apple orchard in apple blossom time. It must have smelled heavenly, too.

  17. Aw, I love those ducks!
I bet it was a fragrant walk with all of those apple blossoms...
You are certainly a couple of weeks ahead of us.
And I think that we both deserve some wonderful summer weather after that horrid winter we had!

  18. Did the ducks walk through the orchard with you? :-) I'm looking at all those dandelions and think that if no chemicals have been used in the orchard, someone should collect and sell the leaves for salad greens or make wine. My dad used to make dandelion wine.

  20. It really is spring when the apples bloom. I was surprised by a family of ducks this week too. A mother and four ducklings waddled right through a parking lot of all places. All the drivers stopped to let them pass and they made it safely through. Beautiful photos, Pam.

  24. There's nothing more beautiful than fruit trees in full bloom. It reminds me of a scene out of Anne of Green Gables when she first rides with Mathew to come and live at Green Gables. I'm glad you're getting some nice weather! It's gotten pretty hot here already...but I won't complain! Enjoy your week! Hugs!

  27. I bet the ducks love the orchard - lots of green space for them to enjoy. Rows of apple trees in bloom are such a beautiful sight. Like Lavender Dreamer, I was reminded of Anne of Green Gables when I saw the trees.

I imagine, like me and thousands of others, you're praying for the situation in Moncton. I have family there and probably you do too, so naturally, I'm quite concerned and very sad over what has taken place there. Take care, my friend. Just thinking of you today.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  37. Pam, those apple blossoms are just so beautiful. I always look so forward to those sweet little flowers and then watching the blossoms fade and replaced with tiny little apples. A walk through a whole orchard of apple trees looks just lovely.

  38. I wonder if the blossoms are open here. I think it`s time for a country drive to hunt for apple blossoms.
