an Easter tea

Welcome to my Easter tea.  I thought I'd bake some sugar cookies just for you and me today.  These little bunnies are made with my vintage cookie cutter.  I'm not the best cookie decorator but they sure do taste good.

And of course, a bowl of candy coated chocolate eggs is a nice treat too.

I bought some daffodils in support of the Canadian Cancer Society on Saturday.  They were tight buds but soon opened up and bring a lot of cheer as we certainly don't have any blooming in our yards yet.  I did peek at the end of the house today though and found the crocus all budded and the daffodils up about  6 inches not far from the deep snowbank.  A good sign of spring.

My teacups are Royal Albert on the bottom left and Royal Vale on the right.  I like the colours in them both and, of course, the daffodils on the Royal Vale one are perfect for this tea time.

Thank you for joining me for tea today.  I am joining Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday and Ruth at Antiques and Teacups for Tuesday Cuppa Tea.   Please feel free to join us.

Thank you for visiting and your kind comments.  Have a blessed week.

Pamela

  2. What a beautiful way to start my day with an invitation to your lovely spring tea. The colors are such a treat to the eyes, especially at this time of year. I have a bowl similar to yours and have never thought to add Easter candy to it. That will soon change as they look so nice together. Thanks for the idea. It's the small things, as they say.

  3. Such a cheery tea table! I can just imagine how welcome the crocuses will be when they open up. No one appreciates spring like someone who's been through a long and snowy winter line you have had!

  8. Pretty floral teacups and adorable bunny cookies, Pam! I do love daffodils and for such a worthy cause too! It must be a wonderful sight to see the posies coming up. Nothing here yet and we just got snow again today. But tomorrow is April and the songbirds will soon be back. So I'm feeling hopeful. I'm so happy you could join me for tea today and I wish you and your loved ones a Blessed and Happy Easter.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  16. A delightful tea table Pam and I really like the daffodil teacup - I have a daffodil tablecloth that would match. I need to bake some sugar cookies too, a sprinkle of colour is much easier than playing with icing, isn't it?

  20. Thanks for sharing your tea time with us !! My grandpa made my grandma 2 big metal cookie cutters, one was shaped as a heart, the other was shaped as a rabbit. We would get jam jam cookies in the mail every Easter and Valentine's day! Thanks for bringing that memory back as I looked at your pretty tea table!

  24. what a cheerful tea party. what kind of tea will be having? i am thinking earl grey this AM. have i told ya i have pretty much given up coffee ... it makes me to nervous or jumpy. tea is more my style ... so calming & not at all like coffee. i wonder if that is why others enjoy it as much? i love your theme today. the cookies look delicious too! those eggs look yummy too. i have to make cupcake for our family get together this weekend. can't wait. i have to change things up because my brother doesn't like coconut ... so i am hoping what i decide will be a hit. do you still have snow. i heard PA & several upper US states got more snow ... i can not imagine ... we have been having some cooler temps ... no snow thankfully. have a nice week!! take care, Beth ( :
