horse fence

The brown horse had a bit of a curvy swayback doesn't it?

I took these photos on our backroads drive last Saturday evening.  They had their backs to us so I clicked at them a few times and they moved a bit.  They were engrossed in the nice green grass and didn't even look up.

I'm linking with Good Fences.

The sun is shining this afternoon bringing in some heat and humidity with a major thunderstorm watch on for us here in New Brunswick.  Tomorrow is to be sunny and very hot then rain again on Saturday.  Sigh....too much rain.  I hope you have a good weekend and some sunshine in your part of the world.

Blessings,
Pamela

  3. Oh, really nice rustic fence. It's hot and humid here, and we have had tornado watches for a day or two.

  5. The nerve of those horses not to turn around for the camera. Still, it looks like a beautiful setting. A nice meadow for the horses. We have had a bit of rain and storms down this way. They are moving through.

  6. Well that does look like a sway back but I am not an expert. Great shots. Warm here not humid yet but keeps raining. Take care. Hug B

  7. That sway back is most likely age..our oldest is almost 30 and her back sways. I was going to saw my horses would step right over that fence, but I see they have an electric wire there too. Great shots!

  8. Horses are lovely to photograph. We had wicked weather yesterday ... thunder storm warnings, tornado warnings, wind, heavy rain and more. Today it is lovely but tomorrow is to be more rain and thunder storms. Thank goodness for a lovely day outside today.

  9. Yes, he looks like an old fella...glad that he is out enjoying the yummy grass. It is not as hot nor as rainy here. I am not a fan of fluctuating weather either.

  11. Hi Pam! Some nice snaps and it does look like they're enjoying their meal! Sounds like you're about to have weather just like we had earlier in the week. Can you believe it's almost mid June and I just have the windows raised and don't need any air conditioning yet! :)
    Be a sweetie,

  12. Well, that is certainly a very unique fence! And you are right about that poor little brown horse. He looks as if he could use a good physical therapist or chiropractor. It's hot and muggy here in central NC...feels like August today :(

  13. Graceful animals. The rain we got yesterday would be bound for you- it was a deluge at times.

  14. What a neat looking old fence and looks like they have plenty to eat. I usually get this same view when I'm trying to take photos of horses....but it's still great! It's sunny here! Sweet hugs, Diane

  15. I wonder what your 'very hot' would feel like to a Floridian. Just thinking out loud/print. :)

  17. Well the horses seem quite content behind that nice sturdy fence. I enjoyed your photos very much.

  18. Don't you just love the sound of horses munching on grass? These two pals do look quite content. We had tornado warnings throughout the day yesterday in our area. A good violent thunderstorm at lunchtime was the only action I saw ... for which I'm thankful! Hello summer!

  20. Lovely shots of the horses and fence. Yes I'm getting tired of all this rain too! My perennials are shooting up too quickly and my veg garden needs some sun! Have a great weekend Pam!

  21. Very beautiful, serene views. Thank you for sharing them with us!
Where I live, we have had the coldest early summer in 50 years, and particularly rainy weather is predicted for July, August, and September... :D
    Have a great weekend!

  22. That one horse does have a pronounced sway back but they both look happy eating the grass.
We're grey skies and rain again today.

  23. Everything looks lush and green with all your rain (and melted snow to add to it!). Amazing how some parts of the country would love some rain.

  25. Hi Pam! Thanks for stopping by! I see it's lush and green up your way, too. Guess y'all are having lots of rain up there. My favorite thing in the world - horses! And a vintage-y looking fence too. I'll bet that swaybacked horse is getting very old. Being retired out in that beautiful green pasture ought to make him very happy!

  27. The horses are gorgeous, even though it was just the back end :-) Raining here, so we are snuggled up and having quiet time. It has its advantages xx
