the splendour of fall

It's mid-October and I thought I'd share some recent photos of our gorgeous fall colours here in New Brunswick.  The weather has been spectacular up until today and last night it was as warm as 17C!  The winds have shifted to the northwest this morning and it will cool down for a couple of days again.  Well....enough chatter.....enjoy the photos.

~~~~~~~
These next photos are from a visit to Kings Landing Historical Settlement with a couple of photographer friends.
Sharon, Anna and me.
We played dress up just for fun.
It's amazing what one can do with editing features these days.  hahaha  Anna added this ox that she had taken a photo of at KL to the front of our buggy.  It looks almost perfect there waiting to pull us through the village.
~~~~~~~~
One beautiful warm afternoon last week I went for a walk in the orchard near us.  The colours were at peak performance and just stunning.

~~~~~~~
A foggy morning at our house.
Thousands of Canada Geese have been flying overhead and resting on the river and in fields on their way south.
Our 'deer' friends.
Our front entry decorated for fall.
I hope you are enjoying this beautiful month of October so far.  The trees have had most of their leaves blown off in the wind taking the reds and oranges, but the yellows are still hanging on.
Thanks for your visits to my recent post and your comments. I appreciate you!
Enjoy the rest of October.
Blessings,
Pam
  1. Hi Pamela
    It is sure beautiful there in your neck of the woods! I love the variety of colours displayed. We have mostly gold here in the North. It looks like a fun day you shared w/your friends at Kings Landing. We're never to old for playing dress up!
  10. You have a great collection of amazing Fall pictures Pam! I particularly like the one with the hay rake in the foreground and the beautiful colors in the background. What fun you and your friends had a King's Landing! I think it's too funny about the ox photoshopped into the picture LOL. I suppose your deer friends aren't so dear if they've eaten some of your good flowers, LOL. I hope you get to continue to enjoy as much fall colors you can fall sure doesn't last very long!
  16. Autumn is spectacular in the east; you have many more deciduous trees than we do and lots more colour. The excursion to King's Landing looks like a fun day out with friends. Today we've had heavy rain and it's looking very dull outside.
