Thursday's Inspiration ~ spring

Maple tree in bud on Saturday.

These are the same twig of buds as above but taken Wednesday.
They are a bit more swollen.

The word prompt for this week's Thursday Inspiration at Mary's blog Little Red House is Spring.

Daffodil Bud

Spring has been coming on in full force all week.

The purple iris are pushing up along with everything else.

I felt like Forest Gump when I saw this white butterfly floating around the yard and it lit on the green grass.

Hollyhocks that I planted from seed last year are coming up.  They were only large clumps of leaves last year so I hope this year they will grow tall and bloom.

The trees are getting heavy with buds in the warm sunshine.

Spring has sprung here and I'm joining Mary for her
Inspiration Thursday word prompt Spring.

Have a great day.

Blessings,

Pamela

  5. Hi Pamela....I love your new header photograph....just beautiful!!! Everything here is just finally starting to burst too...Spring is a bit late this year but very, very, welcome for sure. It sure does make you feel good after such a long winter. Thank you for stopping by my blog today and for always leaving such wonderful comments. I really appreciate all of your kind words. ...And...oh yes...there's a wonderful factory store in Skowhegan and we go there everytime we need a new pair of sneakers and when the kids come to visit too we always outfit them with new pairs too. So, if you ever decide to take the trip I hope you will let me know...we only live about a half hour away and would love for you to come and share a pot of tea and to meet in person. Some of the special people here that I have met through blogging I would just love to have you all as neighbors too. But a quick visit would be awesome too. We'll keep in touch...hugs, Kathleen

  12. Hurray!! I am so glad spring has arrived. In fact is getting warm in the 20's, and pushing spring alone just a bit to fast for my liking. The bloodroot is almost finished and the woodland poppies are starting to bloom, to soon. Take care Pamela and have a wonderful weekend.

Whatever they are, they are gorgeous. All our trees and flowers are out in force now. Love this time of year when everything is coming back to life, don't you? And you're right, I feel so loved and special and prayed for when I get under my quilt, and I know that my sister does, too!!! Have a wonderful week!

  29. It's such an exciting time in the garden Pamela.
Forgotten treasures to be found each day - pushing their little heads up through the soil.
I wish I lived near you - I'm looking for some of the old Irises to add to my long border - I should have brought some rhizomes from my old garden....
    lovely pics thank you!
