Sunlit Sunday

Sunlight streaming in the window on these cold winter afternoons is very welcome here.  I am sharing some bits of sunlight from this past week.

It's Sunlit Sunday once again at Karen's blog

The sunlight was refracting off the crystal candle holder onto the platter.

Pretty little rainbows were formed.

From the inside looking out on a sunny day this week.  The skies
have been so blue.
The chickadee is having an afternoon snack.

I noticed how the sun is lighting up the windows of the car on the road.

Morning sunrise over the St. John River Valley.  The sun has moved considerably from the right of this view.  It was a very cold morning and there was a fog along the river.

I hope you have found some winter sunlight along with the snow this week.

Please feel free to join Karen for Sunlit Sunday or to visit the other participants and leave a comment so they will know you stopped by.

Thank you for all  your visits and comments.  And, a special welcome to my new followers.  Thank you for joining me.

I hope you have a sunlit Sunday.

Pamela

  2. I love it when rainbows magically appear; they're like unexpected gifts. I think the gorgeous skies you enjoy may well fall into that same category, Pamela. You have such a broad vista and a keen eye to notice the glint of light on the car windows.

Once again, I appreciate your support of Sunlit Sunday. It does brighten up my week.

  3. Isn't it wonderful to see the sun, even when it's cold? It makes it more bearable, I think. Love these rays of sunshine you've captured.
    Have a wonderful week, Pamela.

  4. Sunlight and blue skies are certainly a welcome relief this winter. It looks like a fireball coming up in the sky in the last photo Pam.

I can just imagine how welcome it was amidst the snow and the cold - a beautiful winter scene.

  8. I love how the sun can make little rainbows in the house! Beautiful sunrise photo and how it lit up the windows of the car. Love the little chickadee.
We've had lots of sunshine this week but still very cold. I haven't had my camera out to capture it. Have a great week

  9. Hi Pamela,
I've noticed some amazing sunshine coming up in the mornings. My pictures don't usually look tht good from the inside looking out, perhaps the RV windows need a good washing. At home I have crystals haning about that catch the light and share it with the walls in the room, love the colours.

  14. Fun to see how you've captured the light...even the rainbows that look like flickers of flame. Your comment about the car windows reminded me of the old children's story "The Golden Windows"... do you know it? John and I are watching the sun get higher in the afternoon sky in relation to a roofline. We're sitting there watching the sun rise higher and move to the west a bit each day. It's interesting to see.

  30. Those chickadees are the cutest little creatures! This one looks right at home in your backyard, like it's just come out of its cozy little house for some fresh air and to retrieve the mini morning paper! Gorgeous blue skies, too!
