more barns and fences

Do you see the little window in the barn on the right?

This is the view from it.

A closer look at the view.  Interesting fences.  The end of the Ingraham House.

A staff member fills the stalls with hay for the night.

These are the animals in this barn.  Some beautiful sheep who were hungrily eating from the trough.
They were funny to watch as they pushed their way between each other to get some food.

I am linking with the Barn Collective # 4 at Rose Street Reflections.  Amy has picked up this meme which used to be Barn Charm and is getting nicely started so if you'd like to join in please click on the link.  This is my first time linking with this one.
I'm also linking with Good Fences on Thursday.

Thanks for all your visits and comments.  Have a super day!

Blessings,
Pamela

  2. A beautiful place, Pamela! That fence is interesting with the random heights. And I'm like Debby, the sheep photo is great. Thank you for your support with my barn linkup!

  4. Isn't it interesting to see how innovative those once were who used anything and everything to get a task accomplished? Contrast those days with today's throw-away society. Love that little window with the tree.

  5. Pamela, These are beautiful photos of the barn and animals. I do love that fence. Thanks for stopping by my new photography blog and leaving a comment. I have been blogging about barns, birds, books and more for a long time at Stuff & Nonsense (duhpaynes.blogspot.com), but felt the need to separate my love of books from my love of photography and other interests at this time. I'll enjoy getting to know you and looking around at your lovely images. I'm now following you through GFC.

  6. More beauty....

That little window is precious. Wonder what it was originally used for? Because I bet there weren't many things done, back then, without a specific purpose.

    Happy count-down to Halloween,
    Tessa!

  31. What a grand view from such a tiny window! Such autumnal prettiness, Pamela, and interesting fences!

Just wanted to say that I am shocked about the shootings on Parliament Hill today, and very sad about the soldier who has lost his life. I am watching CP24 Live coverage, having just observed the press conference in Ottawa, and am very concerned about Canada's security. I pray that all will be well again.

  34. Hello Pam, I have been wanting to go out all fall and take some more barn pictures. Oh, I love to take a picture of a good old barn. It must be because I am a true farm girl....do you think? Your pictures are brilliant as usual, Pam. You really are clever with your camera. I need time to play around with mine. My precious *9 yr. old aunt has gone to a nursing home as of today. She is the happiest, most cheerful and fun person I know but the last year has been rough on her body -some spills, a few mini strokes and pneumonia. So I have been going at lunch time a few times a week to feed her. I thank the dear Lord that my back and Fibromyalgia is doing okay for now.

I want to say how terrible upset Jim and I were while listening to the news tonight about our dear neighbor - Canada. What a terrible shocking thing to have happen. I pray for the young man's family. This is a terrible tragedy! We are praying for your wonderful country.

Have a good week and try to enjoy the rest of fall.

    S......

  35. Hi Pam. Your photos are great as usual. I love old barns and those sheep are great. If I lived in the little white house across the way, I might be a bit curious as to who is lurking around in that barn. Besides the sheep, I mean..Happy Wednesday..Judy
