squirrel shenanigans

"Hey you!  You looking at me?"

It was a lovely snowy day a couple weeks ago when these two squirrels came to forage for sunflower seed in the snow on our deck.

"Yeah, go ahead and eat all the seeds.  I'll fix you!"

Oh they got into it in a fur fury all right.

Ninja fighting.

So funny to watch.

And they're down again.

And the winner is....well, I'm not really sure, as with all the furious fur flying I couldn't tell one from the other.  This all happened within a few seconds but it sure was entertaining.  I had set my camera on Sports Mode and snapped away.   The other one survived because he came back a few minutes later and stayed well away from the 'winner'.

I'm joining Judith at Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday.

Thanks for visiting and commenting.  Have a great week!

Blessings,
Pam

  14. How funny. Squirrels can be quite the little entertainers. With all of our trees here, you'd think that we would have some, but we don't. You got great photos. I love the one standing on his hind legs. Great post, Pamela.

  15. LOL! We are overrun with squirrels in our yard because of oak and walnut trees...all those nuts. And they are always up to something...usually bad.

  16. Incredible photos, Pamela!
We have several squirrels near our home, but they are too fast for me, my eyes and for my camera.
Thank you very much for sharing!

  19. Oh they are such fun to watch. Very adorable. I am thinking that these little chaps do not cause the major damage that our Gray Squirrels create. We allow them to eat with the birds, but we chase them away when they gnaw on the house~

  22. That's really hilarious Pamela and you got some great shots of the little guys.

I'm thinking of you today as it seems the 'nor beaster' as they are calling it, may head your way later after inundating the US! I'm feeling relieved that I don't live in New England any longer - just couldn't handle that much snow - up to 3' is predicted - your squirrels better stay up in their tree!

Take care - hope there's no power outages and you stay safe and warm.
    Hugs - Mary

  25. Pamela I tried so hard to read this post last night, but the new internet has a problem and the tech will be here later this week. So while I have it up and it's actually not running like 'old dial up' I thought I would say. Hilarious. Simply hilarious. I just love these squirrels and how they're playing with each other. Comical. Thank you for that, last night and now today that I can actually see all of the photos. Carol
