On Saturday past Murray and I went to visit my sister and her husband near Doaktown then went out for supper at Wilson's Sporting Camps, a hunting and fishing resort on the Miramichi River in McNamee. Yes, I know I was just over there 2 days before but, I didn't visit them that day. It was a gorgeous and sunny day although quite chilly and the tree colours were more brilliant than the last trip on Thursday. Above is the Killarney Rd. out of Fredericton which connects with Route 8 - the road north to Miramichi City and all points in between.
This is Carrolls Cross Rd. which follows along the river and was just gorgeous with all the colours.
This is the view from my sister's house! It is beautiful there. Just over a week ago with all the rain, this interval was flooded with water. You can just see the river to the left in the photo.
This is at Wilson's Sporting Camps where we had dinner.
The view of one of the guest lodges and the Miramichi River.
Peeking through the trees.
Heading home as the golden trees reflect the lowering sun.
And that is a family of raccoons out for a stroll on the road. They ducked under the guardrail as we got closer.
Driving home it was too dark to take photos and by the time we got to Fredericton the sun had just set. The sunset sky was beautiful.
A few minutes later the suns rays shot upward. What a display!
The fall colours really peaked this past few days and I took some photos along our road that I will share with you soon. I hope you all have a great weekend and can enjoy some fall colours where you live. Thanks so much for visiting.
